SSC Ultimate Aero EV Supercar

Shelby SuperCars (SSC) announced plans to create the first 100% Green Supercar – the Ultimate Aero EV (Electric Vehicle). The green car will start testing in Feb 2009 and will be in production before the end of 2009. Engineering details are yet not disclosed.

I think we can do it faster, leaner and cleaner than any other manufacturer.

Other auto manufacturers have sacrifices performance and aesthetics in an exchange for the hybrid power plants, however Ultimate Aero EV with bring the pollution free, engineering wonder with the exotic Supercar exterior.

After broken the one world record, SSC will soon crack an engineering challenge.

The coolest thing about this car is they said they were going to do something and then they did it.

Jaguar XF-R Unveils at Goodwood

This weekend, Jaguar will debut its 2010 XF-R at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car is powered by the supercharged 5L V8 engine which delivers 500 horsepower.

The XF-R has adjustments to suspension and brakes to equal an increased power and the sportivity of car. The car features the latest 20-inch full-black wheels, black front-grill and latest hood with 2-double air vents.

Dodge Challenger

One of the worst kept secrets in the industry announced on saturday: Chrysler will build a production version of the Dodge Challenger that has been already presented at 2006 Detroit Auto Show.

Novitec Tridente Tuned Maserati GranTurismo S with Fresh Supercharger Package

Germany-based Italian Car Tuner, Novitec is one of the preferred tuners who are dedicated to upgrading the vehicles having a trident logo.

The company’s ‘Novitec Tridente’ team has made their debut with a tuned Quattroporte in a 2007, and now for 2009, they has unveiled more enticing, supercharged GranTurismo S.

The supercharger plus improves to ECU and 4.7L V8 engine carry a power to 600 bhp. A 160 bhp raise over stock is unwise without matching upgrading to a running gear, so the Novitec Tridente includes the KW/Novitec suspension system and staggered NM3 5-spoke wheels (with front - 20×9 up & rear - 21×12.5).

Aston Martin’s One-77 Revealed at The Concorso d’Eleganza

Aston Martin has revealed its highly awaited supercar One-77 at the Concorso d’Eleganza in Lake Como in Italy.


At the Villa d’Este Aston Martin given out it’s 1st hand made supercar which succeeded on Concorso d’Eleganza Design Award for The Concept Cars & Prototypes in Lake Como, Italy.
The One-77 was displayed with the DB9’s cabin based hand-crafted interior and running powertrain.

Embodying everything Aston Martin stands for; the One-77 has proven itself as the most desirable automotive art form at its premiere today.

Bugatti Unveils Veyron Centenaire Edition at Concorso d’Eléganza Villa d’Este

At d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza villa in Cernobbio, Italy, Bugatti unveiled 4-unique Veyron Centenaire models this weekend.

These 4 one-shot Veyron Centenaire models are named after 4 of Bugatti’s race drivers from the 1920 & 30s, and each edition is painted in colors of their home country. Blue color is labeled for Jean-Pierre Wimille, France, red color for Achille Varzi, Italy, white color for Hermann zu Leiningen, Germany and green color for Sir Malcolm Campbell, England.

They are also perceived by refined aluminum fenders and door, mirror polished grille and the red brake calipers are recognizable through new wheels.

Hyundai i40 In India?

After launching Diesel and petrol automatic transmission version of i20, Hyundai is planning to bring i40 in India. i30 is also expected to be launched. Since there is no official announcement by company, engine specifications and pricing details can not be stated. The new model might come with a 2.0L CRDi diesel engine.

Imported high-end bikes sales performance

Imported high-end bikes are launched by Suzuki and Honda recently. These bikes are aimed to a rich people in India. Suzuki which launched Suzuki Hayabusa and Suzuki Intruder in November, 2008, sold around 100 units of super bikes which is priced about 12.5 lakh per unit. Company plans to sell other 100 units.

On the other hand, Honda Motor which has launched CBR1000RR(12.5 lakh) and CB1000R(9.5 lakh), has been able to sell 21 high speed imported bikes, coming at a premium of Rs 12.5 lakh and Rs 9.5 lakh within three months of their launch. Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Pune are the important platforms and company plans to sell other 100 units in this fiscal.

SEE UPDATE :: Oka.. sorry but i was in hurry to give you the news about the launch of TATA Nano! The first much waited 1 lack car! The official launch of Nano is on 23th March in mumbai by Mr. Ratan Tata.

After the launch of the Nano, the booking will be started in the second week of April, as it will be distributed through Dealers. The delivery may take time upto the starting of Month May. Here it is quite tough to get Nano as they have planed to give Nano on draw based scheme. Not all people will get the Nano immediately. They may have to wait for the delivery of it!! Tata is planning to sell about 50000-60000 units of Nano in India.





Nano will be available in three different variant. Base model, CX and LX. Each three model will be differ from each other in comfort, flexibility and other features.There will also difference in prices. None of these models will have power steering.

Top speed of car is about 105 kmph. And it will catch the speed of 60 in just 8 seconds. Nano comes with tube-less tyres and there is also enough facility for secury!!

LX will be top model and will be having vacuum brakes. The top end model will have central lock system, cooler, hitter for the cold season. The front two seats are also flexible. TVS Apache RTR 160 Wallpapers

I would never call a 160 bhp motorcycle anything superlative. Matter of principle. King of the road, street scorcher, whatever - they are names reserved for motorcycles above 600 cc and should remain so. But if I come down to earth and look at Indian roads, there is a different world around. Here, we have little four stroke machines that do their own little bit of scorching and wheeleing, and in that world, it has its own little tyrants and knights. The Karizma, the Pulsar 200 DTS-i, the CBZ X-Treme, TVS Apache, Pulsar 150.. and that world has just got a new claimant - the TVS Apache RTR 160 motorcycle. Priced right against the other 150 cc models from other manufacturers at Rs 60,000 approx, the Apache RTR with its 160 cc will really be serious temptation for anyone looking for a 150cc category motorcycle. The TVS Apache motorcycle impressed us all first when they had those bad boys on motorcycles in their TV ad spots that went "now or never" , and "dhinchal dhnchak". The styling caught everyone's eye, and it look just a little while for the Apache to capture everyone's imagination - tired as they were of the Pulsar 150s, 180s that were ruling the road. The TVS Apache quickly captured hearts - OverDrive, BS Motoring and Autocar named it Bike of the Year 2006 and sales were good. Sometime later, TVS decided to up their game. And thus we have the TVS Apache RTR 160. Adding only 10 cc meant that the bike will still be evaulated against the Pulsar 150 DTS-i - its primary competitor - while beating it easily. Possible, as the TVS motorcycle still weighs some 7 kilograms less than the CBZ X-Treme and Pulsar 150. The Pulsar models have steadily seen upgrades in style, cowl, LCD speedos and LCD tail-lights, and the Apache was going to do all that - plus beat the Pulsar 150 DTS-i on the streets. And going by initial impressions, that is exactly the RTR 160 will do. So what is the RTR? It is supposed to mean Racing Throttle response - don't take that phrase too seriously, without or without it, the motorcycle will do what it promises. In the TVS Apache RTR 160, the engine capacity si up to 159.7cc. To increase torque, as well as to boost top end whack, bore and stroke were changed to 62 and 52.9 m. What The Apache RTR 160 will give you is 15.2 bhp at 8500 rpm, and a torque of 1.31 kgm at 6000 rpm. To put it in perspective, the the power produced is more than what the original Pulsar 180 did when it hit the market. But the RTR 160 is a lighter motorcycle than the Pulsar 150 and its other competitor, the Hero Honda CBZ X-Treme. What is the performance on offer? There are no official test rides done by anyone so far - but there are many who rode it and came away and penned down their very favourable first impressions. What TVS claims is a 0-60 kmph figure of 4.8 seconds, and 100 kmph would come up in 17.7 seconds. Actual figures would be a little less exciting than that normally - not that you would still complain. Max speed is claimed to be 118-120 kmph. Almost everyone who rode one claims that the RTR 160 Apache. The more noticeable difference is the length - the TVS Apache RTR stretches a 2020 mm end to end. The swingarm is 40 mm longer in the RTR 160, all the better for stability. There is a 270 m petal disc- new for India - that cools better and stops great. There is nice styling touches all over in all those places no one would bother earlier. So you have clip-on aluminum handlebars (yay!), LED tail lamp, so-called aircraft-style fuel cap, split grab rail ... The Apache RTR 160 also features the now standard tachometer, clock, trip meter, fuel guage and odometer. You are not going to complain about style with the Apache RTR 160. I don't care much for the front fairing (didn't like it in the original Apache either), but the RTR's engine cowl is a neat touch - and the racing stripes, yes! Even the wheels will have a nice pinstripe running along the rim, adding to the style. Some don't care much for the racing stripe on the front mudguard and elsewhere - but that is a standard complaint between the ones who like their motorcycle plain vs embellished.

New Range Of Electric Scooters

UK-based Ultra Motor Company launched its new range of ultra motor electric scooters in Tamil Nadu.

The company launched Marathon, a first-of-its-kind electric scooter in the high range category, while continuing with its present high sped electric scooter "Velociti." Marathon would deliver a range of upto 100 kms on a single charge. It comes with a 250 watt motor and a power battery that helps it move at a speed of 25 km per hour.

The battery would have life for a year and replacement would cost about Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000.

Honda to launch new superbike - VFR1000 in India

Honda is all set to launch a new super bike in India by 2010. Dubbed VFR 1000, the bike will be powered by 5 - cylinder unit with 3 cylinder facing the front and 2 cylinders at the rear end.

The new VFR 1000 will also sport Honda’s new combined ABS system making its one of the safest bikes on road. The VFR1000 model will be a replacement VFR800 and CBR1100XX in the international market.


Meanwhile, Honda has already announced the launch of two new international models as CBU in 2009. According to the industry sources, Honda may introduce the bikes named CBR1000 and VR800 in India soon.

The company has set its eyes on the super bikes market in the country and is assessing the market potential as well. It has admitted that it also plans to bring a higher capacity VFR bike to India next year.
